Poetry About Teaching Online
Not Your Typical Teacher
I am not your typical teacher
I have a different feature
That thing of mine
Is I teach online.
I don't go out the door,
What for?
My students, don't forget,
Are on the Internet.
Teaching Students I Don't See
My students I never see
And they never see me
They live all over the place
And we never meet face-to-face.
I will teach you
And try to reach you
Though you are far,
I will grab that star
And help you to see
Geometry
And say ah ha
At algebra
Or get an edge
With language
And then proceeding
Understand reading
And there's no telling
What you can do with spelling
The Online Teacher
The online teacher
Doesn't leave the house,
Uses a mouse
Has no gas to afford,
Uses a keyboard,
Doesn't have to walk
To the board to get chalk...
On the Web
Started teaching on the web
In Feb.
And did that every day,
Until May.
And I don't know why,
We didn't have many students in July.
But my computer started to congest
In August.
And I remember
In September. November and December,
We were really busy
And was I dizzy!
There once was a teacher online,
Who typed to her students all the time,
Her students could not read
As fast as her words would proceed,
But in the end they were all fine.
