Final Thoughts-Beyond the Turtle's Shell
I asked people if they liked learning or taking classes online. Here is what they said.
It is okay, but you have to be very self-motivated, which sometimes I am not.
I think that both are great methods of learning and that it depends on the fit of the person, schedule and degree goals.
Personally I have received my Associates in Business and am working on a BA in Business Management as well as a Human Resources certification online right now. I have been attending private schools online and have found that all of the credits that I have earned are fully transferable to any other university here locally in UT and St. Edwards, except all credits from the University of Phoenix. Upon completion of the BA I will even be eligible for Baylor Law School. There are, without a doubt, places that you can go either in person or online and basically buy a degree. Remember to look at accreditations and transferability of credits. I know that being an adult and a full time student/full time employee is awesome for my resume, so it also depends on the stage of life that you are at. A large part of your degree is the employer's knowledge that you are committed and driven. I would not recommend online education to anyone who is not self motivated, a good researcher or dislikes researching, does not like writing and has an issue meeting deadlines. I take a full load and the classes are five weeks in an accelerated programn and it is a minimum of twenty hours per week of classwork time.
